Privacy

Updated August 4

This site collects nothing about you. That is unusual enough to be worth stating precisely rather than in the usual language, so this page describes exactly what happens when you open a page here.

No cookies, no analytics, no accounts

There are no cookies. No analytics service, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recording, no heatmaps. There is no account system, nothing to sign up for, and no newsletter. No third-party fonts, scripts, embeds or iframes load from anywhere. A page on this site consists of HTML, one stylesheet, and an icon file, all served from the same place as the page itself.

This is a deliberate design rather than an omission. A site that explains bookkeeping rules does not need to know who is reading, and the cheapest way to protect your data is not to receive it.

The tools

The invoice generator and the expense categorizer run entirely in your browser. What you type into them is processed by JavaScript on the page you are already looking at, and is never transmitted anywhere, because there is nothing on the other end to transmit it to.

The consequence is that nothing is saved either. Closing the tab discards the invoice, and reloading the categorizer clears the rows. Save the PDF before you navigate away.

You can verify this rather than take it on trust. Open your browser developer tools, switch to the network tab, and use either tool: no requests leave the page.

What the host sees

The site is served by a hosting provider, and like every web server on the internet that provider processes the technical information required to deliver a page: the requested address, your IP address, the time, and your browser user agent string. This is standard request handling and is not something this site reads, stores in its own records, or connects to anything else.

If your browser sends a referrer, the host receives it in the same way. No profile is built from any of it here.

Your rights, and why there is little to exercise them against

Israeli privacy law and the GDPR give you rights over personal data held about you: access, correction, deletion, and objection. Those rights are meaningful when an organization holds a file on you. This site holds no such file. There is no database of visitors, no mailing list, and no record connecting a person to anything they did on the site.

If that changes, this page changes with it, and the change will be visible in the public source history of the site rather than announced quietly.

Links away from here

This site links to two external destinations, both of them government: the Israel Tax Authority and the National Insurance Institute, on the contact page. Those sites have their own privacy practices and this page does not cover them. There are no other outbound links, no affiliate or tracking redirects, and no commercial product is named anywhere on the site, so every link shows you its real destination before you follow it.

Children

The site is written for people running a business and is not directed at children. Since nothing is collected from anyone, no special handling of children data arises.

Changes

Material changes to this page will be reflected in the date at the top. Because the site is published from a public repository, the full history of what this page said and when is available rather than being a matter of trust.

This page describes the data practices of the site itself. It is not legal advice, and it is separate from the tax disclaimer at the foot of every page. See also the accessibility statement and about this site.
